WLIP courses are base on Training Units that represent contact hours with the various course materials. This contact can take various forms depending on the nature of the event being recognized by WLIP. In a live class environment it is directly related to instructor contact hours, but for a mission's trip or a conference a determination is made on the nature and involvement of the student to the actual event. More hands on involvement means more awarded training units. In the case of home base study the training units awarded is directly related to the length of the material in terms of contact hours. WLIP provides courses in training unit intervals and normally courses are three or four training units in length. This provides a reasonable amount of material to be shared on a given subject without creating a large burden on the students to use vacation time, etc. We accommodate this goal in a four training unit course by holding the first two training units at night and the last two on Saturday.
It is the goal of WLIP to make this advance training as convenient as possible for our students. We recognize the busy life style that many students have with full-time jobs and service in the local body of Christ. In recognition of this goal we are attempting to do everything we can to accommodate our student's busy schedules and are open to new and inventive ways to make WLIP strategic training available to as many students as possible. |
